Biography

Dr. Seyed Mohammad Taghavi, the Canada Research Chair in Modeling Complex Flows at Université Laval, obtained his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in 2011. He has three years of postdoctoral experience analyzing complex flows at the University of Michigan and McGill University, where he was a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow. His research interests include fluid mechanics, interfacial flows, hydrodynamic stability, and non-Newtonian fluid mechanics. Dr. Taghavi has secured numerous awards and grants from NSERC, CFI, FRQNT, among others. He has co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal publications and trained over 50 highly qualified personnel.
