Lafleur, Pierre

Pierre G. Lafleur is Professor of Chemical Engineering and Dean of Academic Affairs at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Québec, Canada. He has obtained his engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from McGill University. After graduating he worked at Northern Telecom and at the Industrial Material Institute before joining Ecole Polytechnique in 1985. Professor Lafleur has been extensively involved in undergraduate teaching and thesis supervisor of master and Ph.D. students. He has published more than a 100 articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings. He was the Chairman of the organizing committee of the 17th Annual Conference of the Polymer Processing Society held in Montréal in May 2001.
