Biography
Frédérick P. Gosselin is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. He is interested in the mechanics of slender structures such as hydraulic turbine blades, airplane wings, sandwich panels, but also tree leaves, coral branches and kelp thalli. As part of CREPEC activities, students under the supervision of Prof. Gosselin have developed 3D printing processes with thermoplastics for space applications, as well as shaping models via creasing instabilities.
