Mostafa Chamoumi has multidisciplinary doctoral training ranging from organic synthesis strategy to the design of catalysts meeting industrial requirements, including polymer and composite materials. His research work in polymer and composite materials has enabled him to develop solid scientific expertise, particularly in the development of biocomposites, surface treatment of solid materials, improvement of the interface between organic reinforcement and polymers as well as the characterization of composites. During his career, he has assumed different responsibilities in different functions within private companies and renowned institutions, among others, the University of Sherbrooke and the University of Montpellier in France. Since 2021, he has been a researcher at COALIA in the plastics sector in Thetford Mines. He is involved in the development of diverse and varied projects related not only to conventional polymers and their recyclability but also to biosourced and biodegradable ones. The circular economy is an integral part of the objectives of its various projects.
