CREPEC at CANCOM 2024

From August 6 to 9, 2024, the 13th edition of CANCOM – the Canadian-International Composites Conference – was held in Waterloo, ON. CREPEC was very well represented and made its mark on several occasions during the event. CREPEC members and their students presented their work and took part in the various activities organized by the conference.

Congratulations to Professor Pascal Hubert (McGill), who was named Canada Composites Fellow by the Canadian Composite Materials and Structures Association (CACSMA). This prestigious title is awarded in recognition of Professor Hubert’s outstanding contributions to the field of composite structures and materials, his leadership in the national and international composites communities, and his contributions as an educator fostering the next generation of composites experts.

Prof. Martine Dubé (ETS) presented “Les voies de recyclage des déchets pré-imprégnés de composites thermoplastiques” as keynote speaker.

Dr Romain Martin (ETS) won second place in the Suong V. Hoa student presentation competition.

Julieta Barroeta Robles (McGill) moderated the EDI panel.
