Louis Fradette has completed his training as an engineer in chemical engineering at Laval University in 1989. Since his graduation, he spent 10 years as a professional in industry and 10 years in academic research. He received his Ph.D. in 1999 jointly by the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal and the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine, Nancy, France.
