Joncas, Simon

Simon Joncas is Associate Profesor at the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) and member of the “Laboratoire d’ingénierie des polymères et composites” (LIPEC) of ÉTS. His research interests are closely related to material characterization, manufacturing, and design of fiber reinforced composite structures. His expertise is mainly applied to the field of wind energy and aerospace, where he focuses on structural design of composites structures. A good part of his experience in the field was acquired while he conducted research at the Design and Production of Composite Structures’ Group of the Delft University of Technology (Netherlands), one of the most important university research centers on composite materials of Europe.
