Maric, Milan

Milan Maric is Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He obtained Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from McMaster University and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. His thesis examined the compatibilization of poly(siloxanes) with thermoplastic resins. Prior to joining McGill, Prof. Maric worked for four years at the Xerox Research Centre of Canada in Mississauga, Ontario as member of research staff in the scale-up engineering group to develop new materials for xerographic applications. Since joining McGill, his main research focus has been applying controlled radical polymerization techniques to produce copolymers with controlled microstructures for a range of applications: coatings, compatibilizers, stimuli-responsive materials and photoresists. Collaborative research with other researchers at McGill in the areas of degradation of plasticizers. He is a licensed professional engineer (P.Eng., Ontario) and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Chemical Society.
