Aurelian Vadean is professor of machine design at École Polytechnique of Montreal since 2003. He obtained his bachelor degree in Romania at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. He continued his graduate studies in France at Institut National des Sciences Appliquées. After receiving his doctoral degree he worked as stress specialist in the aeronautic industry. Since 2009 he focuses his research on the design of hybrid joints, metallic/composites.
