Biography
Ze Zhang is a Full Professor in the Department of Surgery, Laval University, Quebec City, QC, Canada. He obtained his engineering diploma (1982) and M.Eng. (1984) from the Chengdu University of Sciences and Technology, China. He received his PhD in Experimental Medicine from Laval University (1993). After postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Biosciences and Human Technology in Tsukuba, Japan, he has worked as a researcher in the Saint-François d’Assise Hospital Research Center of CHU in Quebec City since 1997, and has joined the Faculty of Medicine of Laval University since 2000. In recent years, his research has been focused on conductive polymer mediated electrical stimulation of cells, and the evaluation and development of cardiovascular devices.
