MSc

We are seeking a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering for a collaborative project between Polytechnique Montréal and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal. The project aims to develop a canine mannequin capable of replicating a dog’s biomechanical behavior (geometry, stiffness, etc.). The mannequin will be equipped with sensors to assess the quality of CPR in terms of force, frequency, depth, and rebound. The prototype will be used in a prospective study to quantify the improvement in CPR performed by experts (veterinarians) and novices (veterinary medicine students). The successful candidate will join the LM2 laboratory at Polytechnique Montréal and work closely with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Saint-Hyacinthe. The project is multidisciplinary and encompasses aspects of design, numerical simulations, advanced manufacturing, and clinical testing.
