Biography
Anne Maltais is a researcher/project manager at Food Technology and Engineering Institute (ITEGA) at Collège de Maisonneuve. She obtained a B.Sc. (2002) and a Ph.D. (2009) in food science and technology from Université Laval with a specialization in nutraceuticals and functional foods. She joined ITEGA team as a scientist in 2010 after a post-doctoral fellowship on food allergens at Agriculture and Agri-food Canada. She mainly works on projects with the industry aiming specific needs for food preservation and engineering. She is also involved in the development of intelligent and active packaging devices as well as eco-friendly packaging solutions adapted to food and packaging industry.
